Use-Case / Considerations

• Because of its weight (~6.6 kg) and size, this lens is more suited for tripod or heavy-rig setups, especially in the 1000mm+ range.

• The T-stop being relatively “slow” (T5.0 at wide, T8.9 at 1000mm) means that for low-light work you’ll need plenty of light or higher ISO.

• The extreme telephoto capability (up to 1500mm with extender) makes it ideal for wildlife, sports, surveillance, or very long-distance shooting.

• Since it’s optimized for Super35, if you plan to use on full-frame large-sensor cameras you will have coverage issues.

• Servo unit and metadata support make it attractive for broadcast and remote studio use; but it also has full cine gear compatibility (0.8/0.5 MOD gears, etc) for cinema workflows.
