The Newtec AZ410 Broadcast Satellite Modem is a DVB-S2 compliant device designed for broadcast contribution and DSNG applications. It supports simultaneous transmission and reception of transport streams and IP services, offering versatility for various broadcasting needs.​

Key Features:

• DualFlow Technology: Combines ASI and Ethernet interfaces, allowing up to two transport streams to be transmitted and received simultaneously in DVB-S2 Multistream mode via ASI inputs and outputs. It also supports IP services over Ethernet with configurable Quality of Service (QoS). ​

• Modulation and Coding: Supports DVB-S2 modulations including QPSK, 8PSK, 16APSK, and 32APSK, with Variable Coding and Modulation (VCM) to optimize bandwidth for each service. ​

• Data Rates: Achieves data rates up to 216 Mbit/s, accommodating high-throughput applications. ​

• L-Band Interface: Provides an L-band output with a frequency range of 950–1750 MHz, with return loss greater than 10 dB. ​

• Adaptive Equalizer: Features an adaptive equalizer to compensate for linear distortion in the transmission channel, ensuring signal integrity.

• Noise and Distortion Estimator (NoDE): Includes a tool to accurately assess the satellite link margin, even in the presence of non-linear distortion, aiding in optimizing performance.

• Optional Features: Offers options for Multistream and VCM operation, 10 MHz reference input/output, and linear and non-linear predistortion (Equalink™) for enhanced link margins. ​
